Welcome!!!

Welcome to the Desert Wiccan Chicken! Here you will (hopefully) follow my life as I delve into being a suburbanite farmer and chicken owner! I'm also a foster parent for New Hope Cattle Dogs Rescue and Rehoming of Phoenix and Tucson, so you'll get pictures and posts from that part of my life! I will try to update with pictures and blogs weekly, maybe more! Tune in for the next update!

A Quick Poem for everyone

I got this poem from my client that I work for. I just had to share it with the world!

The Bee, he is a busy soul,
He has no time for birth control,
That is why in times like these,
There are so many Son's of Bee's!

She has a surprisingly dirty mind!

Happy Beltane!!!

So Happy Mayday to all of my peeps out there. Novi, EJ, that means you! So it's officially May! That means that in a little while, 31 days to be precise, it will be June, which means that I will have been working at the job I have been doing for a YEAR!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!! It will officially be the longest I've held a job since I was eighteen! So pathetic! Oh well, hope that everyone had a great Beltane, and Blessed Be!

Not my artwork, but too beautiful not to upload!

First official BBQ of the summer!

Well, not really. Lynne and I got a new barbeque grill, and we've used it almost every weekend since we've gotten it. But we had a party yesterday, and made hamburgers with herbs out of my garden and it was nice. It was hot as everything here in Tucson is right now, but it was still fun. Saw an old foster dog and her new mommy, and that was fantastic. I thought that Cheyanne would be trying to spend more time with Lynne, whom she was really bonded with, but no she spent most of the time at Becky (her new mom's feet). It was pretty cool to see. All in all it was a fun and exhausting day. And we still have more clean up to do. I hate this part. Anywhoo, to all a great day till next time!

Just so cute. Sunny (the big brown one) and Lady Bug, our little blind foster!

I'm horrible at this!!!

So I totally suck at blogging. It's been so many days since my last confession! Not much happening here. I'm just working and fostering and working and fostering.

I do have something to touch on. Jan Brewer. YOU SUCK!!!!! Ha there, I said it. I just wanted to say that, and that I signed a recall petition to get you out! You make me sick of being an Arizonian. I'm ashamed to say that I live in Arizona.

On a happier note, I have a new foster dog, picture below.

Ula-Bean! Isn't she cute!

Introducing....

THE GARDEN!

The Magickal Garden

Take 2 of the Magickal Garden

Rose the Rosemary

Basil the Basil (say it Bah-sil the Bay-sil)

Stavos the Greek Oregano

Fredrick the Fennel

Frosty the Mint

Sarah the White Sage

Cedric the Chive

Thomas the Thyme

Lavendar the Lavender

To remind me to be at peace within my sacred space.

Yes the water is super dirty, but I saw this hiding amongst
Lynne's bamboo, so I asked if I could give it a home in the garden.

The moon is super cute, and I liked the tie in to Mother Earth.

So yes, I named all of my plants. Sue me.
